Rietbergen and Plaisier winners warm-up tournament TOTO Dutch Open Darts 2023

For the very first time at the TOTO Dutch Open Darts a warm-up tournament was organised in de Bonte Wever in Assen. In total, more than 400 men and 50 women participated.

Women:

Lerena Rietbergen won the warm-up women tournament. In the final she defeated Roos van der Velde with 4-2. The 20-year-old Rietbergen managed to beat three-time Dutch Open Darts champion Deta Hedman (3-1) in the semi-final. Eighteen-year-old Roos van der Velde from Zevenhuizen defeated 2022 TOTO Dutch Open runner up Rhian O’Sullivan 3-1 in the semi-finals. This was a good warm-up for the young Dutch darts players.

Men

Wesley Plaisier has won the men’s warm-up tournament. In an exciting battle he defeated Danny van Trijp with 5-2. In the semi-finals, the reigning Winmau World Masters champion Wesley Plaisier defeated Max de Jong 4-1. Danny van Trijp defeated Mats Gies 4-2 in his semifinal.

The TOTO Dutch Open Darts, the largest and most enjoyable darts tournament in the world, will start tomorrow with the pairs tournament. We wish all participants a good trip to Assen and lots of success.

The TOTO Dutch Open Darts has two new champions. Berry van Peer was too strong for Andy Baetens in the men's tournament (3-1 in sets), while Aileen de Graaf dealt with Beau Greaves in the women's final (5-2 in legs).
