Aileen de Graaf and Anca Zijlstra maintain the Netherlands proud in the women’s doubles tournament at the TOTO Dutch Open Darts 2025: the duo has reached the final, where they will face Beau Greaves and Jo Rolls on Sunday.
Friday at the Dutch Open is traditionally dedicated to doubles: in the women’s event, no less than 205 teams lined up at the oche. After missing the warm-up tournament, all eyes were on Beau Greaves today. The world number one in women’s darts, who has already made her mark among the men, was hoping to defend her title with Jo Rolls. Last year, they had already defeated the competition with relative ease, and this year, it was even smoother. With an average of just under 92, ‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow’ guided her team to the semifinals without losing a leg.
Big names emerge, Greaves steals the show In tournaments where Greaves competes, reaching the final often feels like the maximum goal for many players. There were chances in the bottom half of the draw: Rhian O’Sulivan/Chris Savvery, Aileen de Graaf/Anca Zijlstra, and Aletta Wajer/Priscilla Steenbergen all had their eyes set on that final spot. However, O’Sullivan, who won the warm-up tournament on Thursday, couldn’t help her partner enough. The German duo of Lisa Zollikofer and Julia Siek proved too strong in the last 16, and the Germans then advanced to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Zollikofer and Siek faced De Graaf and Zijlstra, who had earlier taken down Aletta Wajer and Priscilla Steenbergen in a thriller. Gerlin van Rosmalen and Shannon Mos completed the quarterfinals: smartly taking advantage of an open draw, they became the surprise of the day. To complete their dream, they hoped to defeat Greaves and Rolls, but that wasn’t meant to be: Greaves threw almost a 100 average, and the English duo made it to the final. A Dutch pair will be their opponents on Sunday: De Graaf and Zijlstra were far too strong for the German duo, earning themselves a spot on the stage.
