With an average of almost 70, Kurt Vandekerckhove claimed the title at the TOTO Dutch Open Darts Paradarts tournament standing.
The first leg was easily won by the Belgian. With a 20 finish, he put himself on the scoreboard at 1-0.
Leg number 2 went in favor of Heiko Bohnhorst. With a 180 score from 210, he set himself up for a 30 finish after 6 turns. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish it off with 3 darts in hand. Vandekerckhove took advantage of this and claimed the leg, taking a 2-0 lead.
The third leg could have been decisive for the match. Bohnhorst started very strong but faded after a few turns. Vandekerckhove saw an opportunity and surpassed him with a 140 turn. Finishing was no problem, and the third leg was claimed by the Belgian.
The final now seemed decided. Still, the German tried everything he could to turn the match around. With a few darts in hand to make it 3-1, he started his turn, but they didn’t land. Kurt Vandekerckhove stylishly finished the match with a final leg of 21 darts.
